Laundry

Jyrkkälä tenants have access to a shared laundry and drying room located in the maintenance building. The laundry provides an easy way to wash clothes and is especially useful for larger loads, such as bed linen, towels and outdoor clothing.

For many tenants, the shared laundry is also a practical way to save space at home. Having access to a separate laundry means that you may not need your own washing machine, leaving more room for other uses in your apartment.

A flexible solution for laundry days

The laundry is available to all Jyrkkälä tenants. An electronic booking system helps make using the laundry as easy and convenient as possible. By booking a time in advance, you can do your laundry when it best suits your schedule.

The drying room next to the laundry makes taking care of your laundry easier, especially during winter and rainy weather when drying clothes outdoors may not be possible.

• Monday–Tuesday: 7–21
• Wednesday: 12–21
• Thursday–Sunday: 7–21

Access to the laundry room

You can obtain access to the laundry from the Jyrkkälä office. A refundable deposit of €20 is required. After obtaining access, you can enter the laundry using your own key.

If you no longer need access to the laundry, the deposit will be refunded. Please contact the Jyrkkälä office for more information.

Booking the laundry room

Laundry times are booked through the electronic booking system. You can book the laundry for a maximum of three hours per machine.

If a booking is not used, the system will release the time for other residents 15 minutes after the booking was due to begin.

The booking system helps keep the laundry running smoothly and ensures that as many residents as possible can use the facilities when they need them.
