Efficient solar panels, good connections with public transport, possibilities for sorting you waste, and other sustainable choices make sure that environmentally friendly choices are always made together.<\/p>\n<h4>Carbon footprint reduction<\/h4>\n<p>KOy Jyrkk\u00e4l\u00e4npolku is committed to developing ecological solutions. We aim to keep the carbon footprint of housing as low as possible, for example by reducing the amount of purchased energy.<\/p>\n<p>To reach our goals, we have made concrete actions such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Installed efficient solar panels on the outer walls.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Renovated, durable and serviceable facades and windows.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Weatherproof and self-cleaning Corten steel used in the outer walls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Heat recovery in ventilation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>LED lights and motion detectors in lighting.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The lights are turned on only on the floor where motion is detected, instead of the whole staircase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>In new acquisitions we always focus on quality and durability.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2832 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/jyrkkala.fi\/content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/jyrkkala_alasivu_kuva_ekologisuus.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jyrkkala.fi\/content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/jyrkkala_alasivu_kuva_ekologisuus.jpg 640w, https:\/\/jyrkkala.fi\/content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/jyrkkala_alasivu_kuva_ekologisuus-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>The energy produced by our solar panels: approx. 27.2 MW per year<\/h4>\n<p>With this amount of energy, one 13-watt LED lamp could stay illuminated for about 238 years.<\/p>\n<h4>Tips for ecological living<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep the room temperature moderate, around <strong>21-22 degrees<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Turn off lights and electrical equipment<\/strong> when not in use.<\/li>\n<li><strong>When airing out the apartment, do it quickly<\/strong> \u2013 don&#8217;t let the heat escape.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Be mindful of your water usage.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Always sort and recycle your waste.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the summer, <strong>close the blinds<\/strong> during the day to keep the apartment cool.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you want to live ecologically?
