Fire detector in every home<\/h4>\n

According to the law there must be one fire detector\/60 m\u00b2 in every home. It is the resident\u2019s responsibility to acquire and maintain the fire detectors.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In case of fire:<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Save<\/strong> yourself and those on immediate danger and warn other people.<\/li>\n
  2. Extinguish<\/strong> the fire if it is small and there is no smoke. Don\u2019t risk your own safety!<\/li>\n
  3. Alert<\/strong> help by calling emergency number 112 from a safe place, preferably outside.<\/li>\n
  4. Close the doors, windows and air conditioning.<\/strong> This prevents the spreading of fire and smoke. Also close the doors and windows that are on your exit path.<\/li>\n
  5. Help<\/strong> the fire brigade by guiding them and making sure they have easy access to the location. Let them know if people are in danger.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The general emergency number is 112 \u2013 follow these instructions:<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Make the call yourself, if you can.<\/li>\n
    • Describe what has happened.<\/li>\n
    • Tell them the exact address and town.<\/li>\n
    • Answer their questions.<\/li>\n
    • Follow their instructions.<\/li>\n
    • Only end the call after you have received permission to do so.<\/li>\n
    • Even if you have put out the fire yourself, make the call.<\/li>\n
    • <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      If there is a lot of smoke:<\/h4>\n
        \n
      • Exit the smoke-filled room by crawling on all fours. There is more oxygen and better visibility close to the floor.<\/li>\n
      • You can protect yourself from heat with a thick blanket.<\/li>\n
      • Protect your breath by breathing through a damp cloth.<\/li>\n
      • Do not use the elevator, go down the stairs instead.<\/li>\n
      • Do not enter a staircase filled with smoke.<\/li>\n
      • Close the doors leading to fire and smoke.<\/li>\n
      • If you can\u2019t get out, go to the balcony or to the window to wait for the fire brigade.<\/li>\n
      • If there is smoke entering the room, you can fill the gaps with wet cloths.<\/li>\n
      • Draw the attention of the rescuers to yourself. Wave a piece of clothing, shout or call 112 and tell them your exact location.<\/li>\n
      • If a door feels hot, do not open it. Heat is usually caused by fire. Choose another, safer exit route.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
